Classical Minds Institute and Competition, part of the Texas Music Festival: We have an all Texas faculty this year, professors representing many of the great universities and colleges throughout the state: Adam Holzman, Isaac Bustos, Chad Ibison, Jay Kacherski, Mark Anthony Cruz, Enric Madriguera, Jonathan Dotson, Jeremías García (flamenco), Marc Garvin, Rachel Loss-Cutler-Hull, and Valerie Hartzell (ok, so I'm a wannabee Texan) We have private lessons, master classes, technique classes, workshops such as a flamenco workshop with Jeremías García, lectures, 2 guitar orchestras, middle school program, evening concerts, 3 day competition, and vendors (Texas Guitar Gallery, Bendicht Tschannen, Aquiles Torres and hopefully a few more) Applications are due JUNE 2ND. All events are open to the public and we have many choices. Participants can choose to just attend the evening concerts and/or audit an afternoon of events (concert tickets and $15 day pass can be purchased through the UH box office: 713-743-3313). Our applications include 1 for ONLY the festival, 1 for ONLY the competition, 1 for BOTH the festival & competition, and 1 for the weekend package. Loads to choose from and we try to meet the needs of as many people as possible. This may be our LAST YEAR so please take advantage! Next recording is a project CD which will be recorded at the NPR studios in Houston with Todd Hulslander again as producer and engineer. Then, Soundset Recording will distribute the CD. This is part 1 of the recording, the rest will be recorded in October and will hopefully have this out in early Spring of 2015.

Fundraising concert to raise scholarships and funds for the competition. Joining me will be staff member and former student Andrew Smith. All sales from the raffle and concert tickets will go toward the Classical Minds budget and scholarships. Along with the raffle tickets my CD will be for sale along with my CDS: Presti and Ex Tenerbis Lux
